MANCHESTER CHAMBER CONCERTS SOCIETY
Artistic Director: Kathryn Stott
2010-11 Season
An outstanding series of chamber concerts and recitals given by leading international musicians
Welcome to Manchester Chamber Concerts Society, which presents one of the finest series of chamber music concerts in Britain. Recent performers at MCCS include the Michelangelo and Emerson Quartets, the Nash and Haffner Ensembles, and tenor Mark Padmore with pianist Julius Drake. All concerts take place in the intimate atmosphere of the Concert Hall at Manchester’s Royal Northern College of Music.
Artistic Director Kathryn Stott selects some of the most interesting musicians working today. This season focuses on outstanding string players, including the Janine Jansen string trio, the Tetzlaff quartet, the Cropper-Welsh-Roscoe piano trio and violinist Isabelle Faust with pianist Alexander Melnikov.
You may wish to purchase tickets for individual concerts or benefit from buying a subscription. MCCS subscribers gain admission to all seven concerts for the price of five and get the same guaranteed seat for each event. Subscribers can also bring a guest free of charge to a concert of their choice.
